We are looking to add a team member who has a strong work ethic, is a self-starter, takes initiative and is very dependable. This role is perfect for someone who loves social media and is excited to create and post content, especially on Instagram/Facebook stories. It’s important that this person has an eye for style, takes great photos, and is a great writer (in particular, style-blogger writing/writing for Instagram/Facebook stories). 

We need someone who enjoys talking with people and has great customer service skills for a retail environment. In addition to being creative and customer service-focused, this team member will also need to be self-motivated to take on administrative tasks.

Desired skills & characteristics:

• Creative and has a great eye.

• Passionate about social media; keeps up with social media trends.

• Strong photography skills; iPhone proficient, able to take photos and create WILCO SUPPLY Instagram/Facebook stories. We would love someone who is willing to be an ambassador for the WILCO SUPPLY brand and be pictured in images, but this is not essential.

• Loves fashion and has an excellent sense of style; confident styling outfits as a base for featuring our bags and accessories. Styling experience would be ideal but not required. 

• Teachable, willing to take constructive feedback.

• Quick learner and knows how to research/figure things out of their own.

• Dependable and trustworthy; high level producer with little supervision and is excellent at following through with tasks.

• Good communicator.

• Extremely detail-oriented.

• Forward thinking and proactive. Takes initiative and goes above and beyond.

• Flexible and able to text during off hours.

• Has reliable transportation and is dependable.

• Comfortable working at our showroom, which is located at The Boardroom.

• Believes in the WILCO SUPPLY brand and mission, is excited to be a part of the team, has a positive attitude and wants to help promote and grow the company.

• Any military or veteran affiliation would be ideal, but not required. (prior service, part-time Reserves or Guard, military spouse, parent, child or sibling, etc.) 

Duties For This Position:

• Create social media content.

• Create content for daily Instagram/Facebook Stories (photography and style-blog writing skills are a must). Again, we would love someone who is willing to be an ambassador for the WILCO SUPPLY brand and be pictured in images, but this is not essential. This team member would work directly with our Brand Manager and also reference our Brand Style Guide for direction on formatting social media content.

• Write blog content and assist with managing blog content from other team members and outside influencers. 

• Customer service in a retail environment:

• Greet guests in showroom and assist them to find the perfect bag or accessory to meet their needs.

• Periodically we need help at weekend pop-ups and markets; provide excellent customer service at these events as well.

• Administrative:

• Fill orders; to include professionally wrapping/packaging items for shipment.

• Enter new inventory into website; WILCO SUPPLY operates on the Shopify platform.

• Assist with inventory management.

• Manage showroom; conduct weekly/daily checklists and keep space clean, tidy and organized.

• Assist with other general administrative tasks.

The position is part time and located at The Boardroom co-working space on Ship Creek in Anchorage. Initially the hours for this position will be Wednesday-Friday from 12-5pm, but may be adjusted in the future. There is room for growth and potential for more hours. Pay is DOE.
